Why Broccolini and the Beef?

Well it's pretty simple. I am a vegetarian and have been for about 10 years. Brad is a carnivore and has been for, well, ever. Since we got together, we've been having, let's say, creative culinary differences. He's a Bacon Burger with Blue Cheese kinda guy and I'm a Veggie Burger with Avocado kinda gal.

After about 6 months of grilled cheese, mac & cheese, and other cheesy/bready things, we decided that we need to get our kitchen act together. We both like to eat, don't keep much food in our apartments, don't like using too many dishes (no dishwasher), and are on a budget. So this is our attempt at figuring out how to have full, happy stomachs (and wallets)...I mean...highly refined culinary skills...and also the happy thing.
